Tokushima Golden Week Event Calendar – April 29 -May 6

One of the longest Golden Weeks in recent history is here in honor of the new emperor and new era (Reiwa).  Although many people are traveling outside of Tokushima for a vacation, some of you are choosing a stay-cation, and boy do we have a TON OF THINGS for you and your family to enjoy.  From special events at your favorite places, to annual festivals for Germany, Otaku, sea turtles, and Awa Odori, you can be busy everyday just by staying in our Wander-ful prefecture.  Thanks to my students at Tokushima Bunri University for helping with the Tsukimigaoka Kids Fest info.

Tokushima Weekend Event Calendar – April 20-21

Spring kicks off in the center of Tokushima City with the Hana Haru Festa!!  The city is the place to be this weekend, where you can enjoy three festivals and markets along the Shinmachi River.

(Classes at Tokushima Bunri University have started, and my students helped out with some of the sentences for the Hana Haru Festa as they start their journey towards writing English event information for you.)

Tokushima Weekend Event Calendar – April 13-14

Hi everyone!  As the cherry blossoms fall, we’re heading into a greener season, and it looks like a rainy Sunday that will affect a couple of outdoor activities.  So here are two indoor events for you.  Go shopping among 60 booths for handicrafts, or wander through a dozen venues for live rock music.

Tokushima Weekend Event Calendar – Apr. 6-7

Everyone is seeing pink!  The season of sakura is upon us, and the weather is looking warm and clear for your weekend hanami plans.  This event calendar has some suggestions for sakura spots around the prefecture (although just walk out to your neighborhood park, riverside, or mountain for cherry blossoms near you).  There is also a Marche in Itano and the Blues Alley live music event on Sunday.  I also included movie info for the month (we are in a superhero movie boom!).
